We, the undersigned individuals, fully understand that our participation in the Pirate Cove Resort Co-Sponsored with Bert’s Mega Mall Off-Road Poker Run on, exposes us to the risk of injury, death, and/or property damage. Pirate Cove Resort is having an Off Road Poker Run January 21, 2017! (pending permit)
Be sure to bring the completed paperwork with you the morning of the event. All paperwork and fees will be collected when you check in for your stay at our resort or the morning of the event.
Only licensed drivers are permitted to drive any vehicles on Pirate Cove Resort property including during this Poker Run event. Our restaurant/bar and general store will be open early for your convenience.

Captain Paul White, current owner of Pirates Cove Marina, grew up in a boating family and started working at the marina when he was just 13 years old. He was always taking things apart (and putting them back together !!) to see what made them “run” and was a constant shadow behind the marina’s mechanic, OJ Colbert. Paul admired OJ’s intelligence and passion for all things marine, and was driven by a compelling desire to acquire the knowledge and expertise to become a master marine mechanic. Over the years, he trained in fiberglass repair and construction, marine wiring and electrical, gas and diesel fuel and injection processes, and attained a plethora of marine related certifications.
Gaining the vast knowledge necessary to fulfill his dream of owning a marina., proved both challenging and rewarding. He has had extensive experience with Crusader, Mercruiser, Volvo, Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit, OMC engines; Onan, Kohler, and Westerbeke generators, has judged competitions in Marine engine repair, and echoing his mentor, trained many excellent mechanics.
Paul has successfully restored antique boats for competition and has a vast knowledge of classic and antique watercraft, maintaining a treasure trove of marine engine parts and hardware. Looking for parts and pieces for a restoration? Check with Captain Paul!
In 1977, Paul purchased his love and passion and today Pirates Cove Marina is a reflection of his life; a haven for boaters, an oasis of calm in a fast-paced world of stress, and a ‘sandbox’ for boaters and their toys.
