Plucky performer Karla Rose Conway is becoming an internet sensation - after wowing Christmas crowds in central Glasgow.
The six-year-old from Rutherglen grabbed a busker’s mic for an impromptu rendition of a seasonal Scots poem she learned in school.
George Square is one of the principal squares, situated in the Glasgow’s center. The square is surrounded by important buildings, like: Glasgow City Chambers – built in 1889, or the former General Post Office – built in 1878. We admired the monuments of this square. There is the City Cenotaph, in the memory of the citizens of Glasgow. A schoolgirl is becoming an internet sensation after wowing crowds with a festive recital at Glasgow 's George Square. As well as getting a standing ovation in George Square, a video shot by beaming mum Kerry-Ann has now reached a global audience.

As she began her rendition of a festive poem, she drew the attention of passers-by who were keen to cheer her own.
Proud Kerry-Ann, 26, said: “I was focused on the video and when she finished everybody started clapping - I didn’t realise so many people were there. She was made up, it was so good.”
© handout Karla during an earlier performance, on her fifth birthdayThey were on a trip into the city on Saturday to see the Christmas lights with Karla’s two-year-old brother Connor, Kerry-Ann’s partner Gerry McLaughlin, 39, and his daughter Karis, seven.
Kerry-Ann said: “There was a busker there and Karla got the opportunity. She was a bit bashful at first but there was a big smile at the end.”

Kerry-Ann said: “Her teacher, Catherine McDonald, taught her the poem in Scots and they did a virtual show for all the parents.”
And the surprise show in George Square came as a welcome release for little Karla after a frustrating year.
Kerry-Ann said: “She’s part of a dance group but with Covid, she hasn’t been able to go to classes.”

The video has chalked-up more than 1,000 likes and been shared around the world - with Karla’s success no great shock.
Kerry-Ann said: “She’s always singing in the house, every opportunity. From the age of two she was singing Jolene by Dolly Parton.
'Her uncle, Franny Conway, is a karaoke presenter and she’s always asking him for a go - it turns into the Karla show.”
